La Guarida

Havana’s most famous paladar for traditional cuban cuisine. Located in house where they filmed the Cuban movie “Fresa y Chocolate.” Also has a great rooftop bar for after dinner drinks.

El Cocinero

New and trendy restaurant that combines traditional cuban cuisine with a modern infusion. Great rooftop bar.

El Santy

Located in the neighborhood of Santa Fe. This is a very hidden gem for fresh sea food. Everything served was caught that morning. El Santy is the name of the boat they use to fish for the menu. Great ceviche.

El Aljibe

Very touristy but amazing traditional food. Best chicken, black beans, and white rice with a special sauce that goes over everything, Sometimes I just go for beans and rice… Its that good.

Very famous locally for traditional food at an affordable price. Know for grilled pork, black beans, and rice.

San Cristobal Paladar

Very famous Paladar for traditional cuisine. This is the only place Obama ate at when he visited cuba because he liked it so much.

Atelier

DRINKS
La Floridita

This is where the daiquiris were invented and were Hemingway would come daily sit in the corner to drink and write. Very touristy but worth checking out.
La Bodeguita Del Medio
Address: Empedrado, La Habana, Cuba
This is where they invented the Mojito. To be honest, they taste awful here but you should just go to check out the place and enjoy the music. Also very touristy but worth checking out.
Dos Hermanos
Address: Av. Del Puerto, La Habana, Cuba
This is the oldest bar that is still running in La Habana vieja its my personal favorite and where they make the best mojitos. This use to be a secret hideout for many celebrity who wanted to be away from the touristy crowds in La Habana vieja.
La Guarida Rooftop

Great new addition to the historic paladar. Great 360 views of Havana.
El Cocinero Rooftop

Very nice new trendy bar on the rooftop of the restaurant. Great local hangout.
Bar Roma

Very cool underground bar on the rooftop of an apartment building. Everyone who works in the bar lives in the building. My personal favorite hangout spot.
La Fábrica de Arte Cubano
Address: Calle 26, La Habana, Cuba
This place is crazy! It’s a huge warehouse with and amazing art gallery, restaurant, cafe, live music,movie theater, shops, and nightclub. It gets packed and must arrive early to ensure entrance.
Gran Hotel Manzana Rooftop

Very nice rooftop bar when amazing views of el capitolio and opera house. No locals here.
Hotel Nacional outdoor terrace

This is Havana’s most historic hotel. Use to be a fort and became Cubas first five star hotel. Full of tourist but has a great outdoor bar with a beautiful view of the malecon.
El Sia-Kara

Great little bar with live music every night.
Café El Dandy

Super chill vibe with good coffee and great drinks.
THINGS TO DO
Callejon de Hamel
Afro-Cuban artist Salvador Gonzalez completely took over a full street with painting, sculptures, and murals of color religion.
Casa Fuster
Jose Fuster is called the Gaudi of Cuba. He began covering home with mosaics and slowly after 20 years took over the entire neighborhood of Jaimanitas.
Casa de Hemingway
Visit Ernest Hemingway's home turned into a museum where you can see his boat Pilar and visit his personal pest cemetery.
La Habana Vieja
Get lost in La Habana Vieja. Experience the culture, meet the people, and enjoy the colors and architure la habana vieja has to offer.
Mercado de Artesanía San José
Buy all your suvernees in this nic nacs in this open air market full of everything cuba has to offer.
El Malecón
My favorite thing to do in Havana is walk along the Malecón during sunset. Just do it.
Factoría Habana
My favorite art gallery on O'Reilly St. Great place to checkout local and international art.
Playa del Este
Some of you may not know but Havana doesn't have a beach the closest beach is outside of the city call Playa del Este.
Viñales
Take a road trip Viñales. Beautiful seanery of tobacco feilds and mountains.
